I've been to Hong Kong (HKK) twice.
First, in 1996, as part of my very first Asia trip with my then-boyfriend David J. We started in Thailand for a week, then Vietnam for a week, and then HKK for a few days. Total trip just shy of 3 weeks.
No internet missives back then, but will try to add some photos and an itinerary soon.
Second trip was over New Year's 2001. I visited my friends Dhamey & Sonam and their then baby son Kenrab. They're my friends whose wedding in Bhutan and Darjeeling, India I attended in 2000.
From HKK, I continued on to northern Thailand, where I met up with my friend Allison. We went to Burma from there.
